St Philip’s College began as a single classroom in 1982, and today consists of four K-12 co-ed colleges, six early learning centres, four special schools, two young parents’ colleges, a tertiary training sector, an outside of school hours academy and an Aboriginal school. With 5000 students and over 800 staff, the St Philip’s group provides Whole of Life education across the Newcastle, Central Coast and Hunter Regions of New South Wales. Most importantly it is proudly Christian and seeks to equip students with holistic foundations, embedded in Christian values.

Steve Kerr, the Executive Director of the CMA Standards Council, warmly welcomed St Philip’s as the Standards Council’s 29th accredited Partner, saying “St Philip’s College is a leader in education in northern New South Wales.  Its commitment to Christian good governance, transparency and accountability through seeking and obtaining accreditation sends a signal that it is willing to hold itself to high standards of integrity. Christian schools can take areal leadership role in showing their communities that they want to govern their schools on Christian principles, and we commend St Philip’s for joining the ranks of our existing accredited Partners.” St Philip’s will receive its Accreditation Certificate at the CMA Conference in Brisbane on 10 and 11 June2025.
